The memorial at Blackgannoch comprises of a sandstone drystone wall, in which is incorporated a white granite stone with an inscription. The memorial was erected in 2012.

Blackgannoch is a small shepherd's house remotely located in the hills of Kirkconnel parish. It was a favourite site for meetings of the Covenanters due to its quiet location.
