The exact site of the conventicle is not known, but it probably took place on the wild moors to the west of Craigmad farm.

Craigmad Conventicle

A conventicle is known to have taken place near to Craigmad farm, near Blackbraes, in Muiravonside parish. It was reckoned that manmy of those who attended came from the Slamannan area, but as it was over the boundary in the parish of Muiravonside, it caused the authorities some difficulty.
