Kirkbride
The old church of Kirkbride was active at the time of the Covenanters. Although there are no Covenanter monuments in the kirkyard, it is claimed that there are Covenanters buried here.
A poem, Kirkbride, written by Rob Wanlock, recalls the times of the martyrrs:
Oh, bury me in Kirkbride,
Where the Lord's redeemed anes lie.
An annual conventicle is held in the kirkyard each August.
