Muirkirk Covenanter Monument

This memorial to all of the Covenanters of Muirkirk district is located in the cillage's cemetery in Glasgow Road. It was erected at the expense of the local landowner, Charles Howatson of Glenbuck, and was unveiled on 18 June 1887 to mark Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.

The memorial commemorates William Adam, John Brown, Rev Richard Cameron, John Smith, and others.
